Digital Impulse in Education
Project to contribute to the digital training of educational centers in Catalonia
WHAT IS THIS PROJECT?
Digital impulse in education is an initiative of the Department of Education of the Generalitat of Catalonia, financed from the Next Generation funds, which seeks to contribute to the digitization of educational centers as a lever for the innovation of funded Catalan educational centers with public funds.
Impuls digital seeks to accompany schools in the curricular incorporation of computational thinking and STEAM in educational centers with a pragmatic and transformative approach. The project is divided into three key areas: accreditation of the teaching staff, definition of the digital innovation project and creation of a maker space.

Training in Teaching Digital Competence.
With the aim of strengthening the implementation of the new Teaching Digital Competence Reference Framework (MRCDD), training has been enabled for all teachers who have requested it to certify the level of their digital skills.
This has been mainly online with an asynchronous format to guarantee flexibility and accessibility, and has had pedagogical advisors available at all times.
DIGITAL IMPLEMENTATION PLAN
It consists in the development of digital initiatives in order to promote computational thinking and STEAM among students in schools. The PID is a document that lands these disciplines in a very practical way, puts them in the context of the new law and project work. The PID defines the stages and technological resources for the implementation of the project.
CREATION OF MAKER SPACES
Establishment of a learning space aimed at the creation and practical implementation of technology within the Centre. For these purposes, the content, methodology and training centers will be provided with the materials to be used as established in the PID.
